I just wanted to let you all know, that while my desire is to update this blog at least once a week...well, sometimes life just seems "boring." Do you run into that, too? My daily routine doesn't have a lot in it that I think you need updated on each week. I go to childcare 5 times a week, and in the afternoons do various things. For example, today I'm taking a friend to take her quilt to a quilter. Hopefully this afternoon I'll catch up with a friend from the training (I was able to give her a tour when she came to check out the campus in 2007!) Tomorrow, "Lord willing and the snow don't fall"--Missouri's take on the creek not rising--I'll get to go visit with my Mexican friend about 30 minutes away. We try to do this once a week for a few hours, to help keep my Spanish up to par. Tuesdays are usually laundry days & I go to a friend's to watch NCIS. Wednesdays are for meeting with the outreach team which goes to the Latino church. Thursday is a back-up laundry day, and by that point in the week I'm ready to rest! This Friday I'm starting a discipleship study with a couple from the Latino church. It will all be in Spanish, so it's a big stretch for me. The goal is for me to learn some tougher language terms ("Christianese" in Spanish?) and for the couple to be able to guide other believers through the book in the future. Saturday evenings are for attending the Latino church, and Sundays are for going to American church & Spanish prayer meeting.
That's a pretty regular week for me...yet the empty times seem to fill up very quickly! :-) I hope to have a newsletter ready in the next couple of weeks--watch your inbox/mailbox!

The End of Vacation

A Short Trip...to Mexico!
Last week I was able to go to Mexico for a long weekend to visit friends & "family" there. It was a great time to revisit where I lived, and spend time with my friends. Here are a few pictures:

Vacation
I've been in North Carolina the past few weeks, and thought I'd show you a little bit of what I've been doing. It's been nice to be on vacation and just be able to relax. In a few days I'll be flying to Mexico to visit for a week, then will return for one more week in NC & then returning to "the babies" in Missouri. Mom has grown her hair out for the first time in my life--and it looks like mine! (Or maybe mine looks like hers?)
Puppies!! Seven lab puppies were born two weeks before this picture. They're now 3 weeks old & growing fast!
